Student suspensions in Worcester decline under new state law

WORCESTER – Student suspensions in the city schools for the previous school year fell substantially under a new student discipline law that took effect prior to last school year. According to the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, 1,929 Worcester students were disciplined in the 2014-15 school year, down from 2,608 in 2013-14.
