Central Mass. school leaders welcome revamped MCAS

In an 8-3 vote, the state’s Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on Tuesday approved a proposal to roll out a revamped MCAS test in 2017.The board’s decision was well-received by several education officials in Central Massachusetts, who said the extended timeline for the so-called “MCAS 2.0” would give them more time to get ready for the new assessment.”Time will tell.
